Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Council

As a member of the DEI council at Bixal, I focused on creating a more inclusive and equitable design culture within our company, which delivered digital services and products for federal clients. I assessed our current practices and identified opportunities to embed diversity, equity, and inclusion into every aspect of our work. This included reviewing hiring processes, project workflows, and team collaborations to ensure a broad range of perspectives and experiences were represented.
I organized training sessions and workshops to educate our teams on DEI principles and their importance in creating user-centric designs that serve diverse populations effectively. Celebrating diversity within the company was also a key part of my role. I planned events and initiatives that highlighted different cultures and backgrounds, fostering a sense of belonging and appreciation among employees. By fostering an inclusive environment, I encouraged open dialogue and collaboration, leading to more innovative and empathetic solutions. My efforts not only enhanced the workplace culture but also ensured that our products met the diverse needs of federal clients and their constituents, ultimately contributing to the success and impact of our projects.
